October fun

For Halloween I was motivated to make Holly and JD’s costumes. Grandma Raab found red fleece sleepers and I used my cutting skills to do the rest, even cutting my thumb in the process. Our ward’s trunk or treat was this past weekend and I was all excited about having them all dressed up. Well it was a long day, we had just returned from our trip to Nashville and I had a pretty bad headache and the babies weren’t exactly the happiest. 7 o’clock rolled around and we thought we better go since I took the time to make the costumes. We got Holly and JD dressed, took a few pictures and off we went, ready for a wonderful time. We get to the church only to find out that the activity started at 6 and we had just missed everything. We were there long enough to say hi to a few people and for some to notice Holly and JD all decked out and we were on our way home. So sad! I was sure they would’ve won the prize for cutest babies! No trick or treating this year.

Holly as Thing 1 JD as Thing 2 Thing 1 and Thing 2, minus the blue hair. They still look pretty dang cute!

Jim started his new job at PC World and Mac World on Monday so to split up the day, so it didn’t seem so long for us, we went to the Clayton Pumpkin Farm to take some pictures. Grandma Hopkins took some really good pictures while I made Holly and JD smile as they sat among the pumpkins. I was able to capture a few good ones too. They did really well outside and were fast asleep before we got out the parking lot. I love fall!

Grandma Hopkins does a good job taking the pictures while I get them to smile! Holly enjoyed looking at the pumpkins when she wasn't looking at the camera. JD wasn't so sure about sitting against the hay but amused us anyway!

They are soooo cute! I LOVE those costumes! And we have been late and therefore missed the easter egg hunt many times before–at least the kids were too young to care–it was just me that was disappointed :)
