We returned home from Virginia just in time to go to the doctor before we headed to the snow. All was well except the start of double ear infections. So off to the pharmacy we went to get amoxicillan for Holly. We survived eight days of it before she started breaking out in a rash. I went to work and Cate noticed the break out so she took some pictures. I should’ve taken her to the doctor that day, when I got home her poor hands and fingers were all swollen. I gave her some benedryl and decided to take her back to the ER. I said a little prayer, on our way to the ER, for peace and comfort. Her breathing wasn’t bad but man did she look bad. Luckily the same ER docs were still there and came to see us right away. They confirmed that it was Erythema Multiforme, basically a rash all over. But it could affect her breathing and eyes. It never got that bad but they did admit us to a room. They couldn’t draw blood or put in IV in for the longest time because her hands and feet were so swollen. I was tired and seeing my little girl in pain made me cry too.
