3rd Annual Labor Daybor Offle Wamellette Extravaganza

A waffle and an omellette,
The perfect breakfast treat,
However busy our lives may get,
Each Labor Day we meet.

While the omellette man’s a flippin,
And the waffle girl’s got batter,
Your cholesterol ain’t dippin,
And you’re surely getting fatter.

Toppings of strawberry and cream,
For the waffle is a must,
But if that’s not your breakfast dream,
In Aunt Jamima we trust.

Liz you are amazing! Poetry and photography – you captured the essence of this fabulous tradition. How about composing a song that we can sing each year – kind of like the BYU fight song or the winnemucca anthem.

I’m happy that everyone thinks my wife is so talented, so I will refrain from mentioning the identity of the true author…as if past posts on this site were not an indication of tendency…I will simply say, as I’m sure mom will be proud, that “We are one.”

But yes, Liz, please favor us with a pleasing song or anthem we may warble at each Labor Day’s event! I’ll even provide tambourine accompaniment!

You’ve made me so happy with your “oneness”. Separate you’re good but together you’re FABULOUS!!
