Our second day in the park brought even more excitement than the first day. Holly and JD were even more thrilled to see characters, ride on rides, eat cotton candy, and be carried around by their uncles. We saw Handy Manny and Sully right away and luckily the lines were short and the kids had so much fun!
After meeting these two guys our next stop was the Twilight Zone. I had those nervous butterflies all before the ride until we were actually going up and down and then I realized how much I love this ride. I wish I could’ve gone on Tower of Terror again and again and again. Love that ride. Sorry did I already mention that?
While we were on the ride, Uncle Matt and Aunt Cate found a Monster’s Inc show in the street for the kids and ate some yummy cotton candy. Next stop was Bug’s Land. Fun but for some reason I got a little woozy going backwards.
I loved how excited Jim got for the kids too. I wasn’t sure about seeing a show but when I saw Disney Junior stage show and told Jim about it he thought it was a great idea. So we gathered the whole crew and went to see it. The kids danced and played and sang to all the Disney Junior songs. It was fun and nice to be in A/C! The one disappointment was they didn’t do the hot dog dance.
On our way to eat lunch we found some familiar friends.
The shyness seemed to have disappeared by the time we saw Mickey. Though if you ask Holly she thinks it’s Minnie. And will argue with you if you say it’s Mickey.
After we grabbed a bite to eat we used our fast passes for California Screamin’. Maybe not the best ride right after a big lunch but we did it and no one barfed. Grandma and Cate took the kids on Tritan’s carousel ride while we big kids rode next door, where we later joined them.
It was time to go home for a nap but before we left we let the kids run around in the splash pad. They weren’t quite sure what to do but seemed to just go with the fun. Holly wanted to strip down and take her swimsuit off and because they didn’t have shoes on, we were told they needed to, we picked them up and left. Holly fell asleep on Grandma’s shoulder and JD fell asleep in the van on the way home. They were beat.

It was nice to be able to go home and nap. It was great for the kids to be able to rest, and us too. We went back for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney and rode the Monorail back to Disneyland.
Holly wanted to take some pictures with my camera so these are what she captured.
Lanette had to fly back early but before she left we had to take a family picture. Then it was just us ‘kids’ to enjoy the evening together.
We made our way back to California Adventure for more Tower of Terror and Bug’s land with the kids.
While a few of the guys went to ride California Screamin one more time, the rest of us found our seats for World of Color. While we waited for the show we ate some more popcorn and cotton candy. Yum! The show was pretty cool. We got wet and we were close to the speakers and it was 9pm so the kids weren’t too excited about it, so we decided to leave. Cate, Matt and I took the kids home and walked another mile trying to find our car. But lucky for us we did get to see the fireworks as we were searching.
We wished we lived closer so we could go back sooner. We will have to look at pictures for now. We are already trying to get my family to join us next time. Though I don’t think we’ll have to try too hard.
