Grandma’s Love
I think sometimes, what would life be like if Grandma was still here? I miss picking raspberries with her, raspberries as full and red as her heart. I miss her wrinkles of wisdom. Her presence was as calming as a cool breeze on a summer day. In my life when i have problems or troubles that seem to bring me down, I long for my grandma’s love. I want to love like she did. She covered everyone with her cloak of love. Matt,

Thank you for your kind comments on grandma. My kids, your cousins, have made similar comments about their memories of grandma. Going to her home in El Granada was always a place of comfort. Either picking rasberries, hotwheels in the front yard, running around the garden in the back or hiding in the trees next door, it was always a place of refuge. The thought I have the most about grandma is that she isn’t here to participate in all the fun we have when we get together as a family. To see the beautiful grandchildren who are growing into wonderful adults, and making good decisions that she can be proud of. Finally, I feel bad for the new family members who never got to feel the love she has for her grandchildren. The good news, some day they will and they will be embraced by her sweet love. Then, she will round us all up and have a program! Thanks Mat for your sweet memories of grandma.
