A cute little story

The babies have been kicking really non stop and so every time I feel them kick I want Jim to feel them too. But of course when he tries to feel them they stop kicking for a while. Today that was the case again so I told Jim to say something into my belly and maybe that would startle them. He made a noise and nothing happened. Then he said “give a little kick for daddy,” and (we think it was JD) kicked! It was so funny. He only kicked once and then didn’t for a while. I just love feeling them move.

I get emails updating the weekly happenings with the babies growth and at 25 weeks they are both 13.5 inches long and weigh about 1.5lbs. I guess that’s why I always feel them moving, there’s not much room in there. Hopefully there is still room for Holly to turn so she isn’t breech by the end. I have a cold, for the second time, and my back usually hurts by the end of the day but other than that I feel good! Everything seems to be coming together. And the countdown begins for my last day of work too, can’t wait!

I saw your comment on another website that linked from Post Secret. When I clicked on it, it brought me here.

I wanted to thank you for sharing your feelings because it really took me back. My husband’s name is also Jim and I always wanted him to feel our baby kick, but she stopped moving every time. Finally I did the same thing as you and asked him to lean down against my belly to listen/talk and she kicked him in the head! It was a great moment. Thanks for bringing back a great memory for me. She’s 2 now and tons of fun.

Good luck with your little ones!

When I was induced, Hannah was breach she flipped immediately after Haylie was born (so baby A was head down and b was breach) They can still flip so here’s hoping.

Liz left out the part where I knew it was JD (he’s on her left side, and I don’t think they’re swapping sides much), and I immediately said, “That’s my boy!!!” He’s gonna be an all-star!

You look GREAT Liz!! Very exciting!! Tell JD to go for Jim’s head next time :) ha! We love reading the updates and stories. Miss you guys!
