I love my family. Growing up we got along really well. We lived on a street in Wisconsin with lots of friends and so we all hung out together. Of course we got annoying to each other and got in fights, but honestly it wasn’t very often. As we have gotten older, we have become better friends with each other and now share some of the same trials and blessings. It’s definitely hard living far away from my family, thank goodness for frequent flier miles and weddings and babies being born. The last time we have all been together with my family was Christmas 2009 so I am looking forward to our visit in March.

I love living near, and when I say near I mean fives houses away from, Jim’s family. It has definitely helped with being homesick, and yes that still happens when you’re married. I know Holly and JD love being close to family too. They are spoiled with love from everyone. I especially love having family that is so willing to babysit on a whim or on our date nights. We can’t wait for the Hopkins family to continue to grow!
