It’s been a while

So my family reminds me of how infrequently we post so here it goes. There is not much going on lately, just a lot of work and camping for Jim. I told him he should post his white water rafting pictures, which are totally amazing. It reminds me of when I went as a young woman.

Last year marketing director get together in Seattle for a conference and awards where I was awarded the runner up marketing director for the 2nd half of the year. I got to go to Seattle in January and listen to some great speakers. This week we had a mini conference in Yountville at this quaint hotel. We had an awards dinner last night at a restaurant with great food and bad service. We got there at 7pm and didn’t get our entrees until 9! I experienced my first taste of wild boar, it melted in my mouth…so good!! So I mentioned it was an awards dinner and really it wouldn’t be complete without coming home without one, right? I did!! Out of 35 communities I was awarded as the lead generator champion! I didn’t close all of them but hey I got a nice plaque and some moola out of it. I went expecting to come home empty handed so it was a welcome surprise! I learned a few new things at the conference but wish I didn’t have to go back to work tomorrow. We also did a scavenger hunt before the dinner and had to take a few photos along with it. Stay tuned for some rafting pictures and a post next week from Doug and Cate’s wedding!
