Summer Is Fun

We kicked off the summer with a few fun activities like

Attempting to pick cherries in Brentwood on Memorial Day. Apparently everyone else had the same idea so we bought a few cherries and then went to Five Guys for lunch.

 

Visiting the Farmer’s Market one morning to get said cherries we meant to pick in Brentwood. The kids had fun eating the fruit and playing on the playground.

Our first of many days at the pool thanks to our new friends Courtney and Dede. By the end of the summer we just might have two little fishies.

JD loves his new water gun he got with his birthday money. Holly doesn’t seem to trust him with it.

Spending many cool mornings at the park where the kids just love to climb and swing. Swinging is by far their favorite.

Parker, Emily and Rebecca invited us over for a little fun in their pool. We had a little picnic while the kiddies played.

Jim and I went on a date. We don’t go often enough, though I don’t know why since we have free babysitters. Snow White and the Huntsman is a must see.

This summer the kids get to bowl FREE at the local bowling allies. We had fun the first two times until they realized they also had arcade games and now bowling doesn’t sound so fun anymore.

JD got stung by a bee. Well, he stepped on one, I pulled the stinger out (which you aren’t supposed to do) and his foot blew up like a balloon.
The poor guy couldn’t walk and it itched pretty bad too. I just hope he doesn’t get stung again, it could be worse next time.
