Lately I have been realizing how talented my husband really is. I always knew that he could do almost anything but the past few days I have really noticed it. A few months ago, we decided to tackle our kitchen by replacing the old countertops with tile. Jim did that himself, not really knowing how to do it. This past weekend we decided to finish the job. I had a funeral to go to in the morning, but helped Jim by standing on the ply wood so he could cut it. I left and he started working away. He did it pretty much all by himself, while I cleaned the house. I was the go-to-girl as he ran out of tile, more than once, and adhesive. If you need directions to the tile isle at Home Depot, I’m your girl! So anyway, our counters are now finished and they look pretty dang good!
The second part of my realization came when Jim called me from work and told me that he received an award at the CCTimes Quarterly Meeting for all Sales and Marketing people. He does the slideshows for these meetings with the names of those who will win, so it was quite a surprise to him when they announced his name as winning the “Managers Ovation Award,” for creating a new intranet along with the other amazing things that he does.

Wow! Congrats on the new kitchen and the award Liz and Jim! I would love to see some of your work and get some pointers on my sites some time.
Thanks! It’s really not that big of a deal.
