What is wrong?

I have been a Hopkins for two and a half years now but Yahoo does not want to admit it. I created my email, while at BYU before I was married , with my maiden name. Now as the young women’s president I sent emails out the leaders and girls, unfortunately, my maiden name shows up because I can’t figure out how to fix it. Steven was trying to help me and sent an email, using mine, to his parents, “what is wrong?” The next morning I received this email…

Let’s see “what is wrong”:

Yes, thankfully there many more things that are right!! Tonight I brought food to a Women’s Health Physician class and it was about ovarian cancer. I really learned a lot and got to thinking during the talk that I feel really lucky to be healthy. And that although some things seem a little “wrong” in life, I can smile everyday knowing that I don’t have too many things to worry about and that I don’t need yahoo to tell me I’m a Hopkins!

I have been really nostalgic lately and have been thinking that this is probably the best time of my life. Of course barring the whole wife thing and kids and all that. I really love being who I am right now at this time. As wierd as that sounds I don’t want to be anywhere else doing anything else. Good times.

Can I add to the list….

1. It is wrong that you get more credit for wanting to do something, than actually doing it!

2. It is wrong that “Traveler” is not on ABC anymore, but “Cavemen” is!

3. It is wrong that ice cream is not one of the basic food groups!

4. It is wrong that Steven doesn’t have a job! (a recurring theme)

5. It is wrong that those that want to be a millionare, never win on “Who wants to Be a Millionare”! (this is the corrollary to #1)

6. It is wrong to find out that the people on “Lost” aren’t really lost, they are just on a movie set somewhere.

7. It is wrong that “Ve ar tu soon oldt, and tu late schmart” (a quote from Nana’s kitchen)

8. It is wrong that the Porsche Carrera that I do own is too small to drive!

9. It is wrong that I can’t take my entire family on a trip to Tokyo Disneyland!

Ahhhh Liz and Dougie you have made me so happy! It’s true, life is very, very good. I want to enjoy every minute of every day because life is really too short. Have you heard that country song, “Don’t Blink”? It is a very sweet song and it makes me think – where did 50 years go? I love my life because it’s filled with fabulous family and friends.

I am sitting here laughing my socks off! Mostly because Steve still doesn’t have a job! You are all hilarious. Life is good, it is so good that Yahoo has now accepted my Hopkins status, thanks to my wonderful and talented husband (he told me to write that) but I do know it’s true!!

I would like to contribute a little of what I think is wrong in the world.
1. It is wrong that Rexburg is so far from the north pole yet shares the same climate conditions.
2. It is wrong that in order to help us understand her feelings Mom had to quote a country song.
3. It is wrong that I chose a job where I have to wipe old peoples’ butts and see things that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.
4. It is wrong that Steven doesn’t see anything wrong with watching children’s entertainment television at his age. BTW there is an autistic kid that I take care of that watches cartoons all day long, maybe I can introduce you to him.
5. It is wrong that I get benched on my baseball team for a guy that is 30 years old has 3 children and can’t even count to 5 without the help of his fingers. Also I am pretty sure when he sees the ball in the air he imagines it being a big ball of cotton candy because he always sticks his tongue out and drools…
6. Finally I believe it is fundamentally wrong that the Colorado Rockies made it to the World Series when the A’s didn’t even make the playoffs.
